Our 11th Annual Celebration of Excellence proved that we can still connect while celebrating our local superstars who work with survivors in various ways. During COE, we shared this video about the Lydia Martinez Award recipients to give you an idea of how our colleagues show up to work. This package truly encapsulates the phenomenal work they do and their infectious work ethic. If you're still feeling moved by the event or didn't get a chance to join us, you can still donate: https://secure.actblue.com/donate/coe2020 #coe2020 #supportsurvivors

Today, the Senate will vote on the nomination of Amy Coney Barrett. We are against this decision as she is a danger to survivors. Time and time again, Judge Barrett ruled against survivors of sexual assault. There is so much at risk here but there's still time. ACT NOW AND CALL YOUR SENATORS & TELL THEM VOTE NO! TEXT SCOTUS to 747464. #OurCourt #ThePeoplesSeat #BlockBarrett

Thank you to all of our partners, awardees, and guests who joined our virtual Celebration of Excellence last night! The speeches by the Lydia Martinez Award recipients were moving and while it wasn't our typical COE, we were proud to share and celebrate in that space with every one of you. It is your inspiring work in the field that makes us proud to stand alongside you to support survivors. Did you miss our event? Head on over to our Instagram "nycalliance" for a small recap via our COE highlights reel. #COE2020 #supportsurvivors

Sadly, sexual violence and domestic violence are often linked. Here is our Campus Sexual Assault Coordinator Sam, holding up an IPV fact. When asked what brought her to this field of work, Sam said, "I choose to be a part of this field because I believe a world free from sexual violence can exist. I plan to continue participating in this work until that world is our reality. We at the Alliance continue to raise awareness around intimate partner violence so we can end the cycle. #PurpleThursday #NYGoesPurple4DV #DVAM2020
