For over ten years, Rebecca was actively involved in the drafting the Child Parent Security Act in New York and was so pleased when it was finally signed into law in April 2020. After YEARS of hard work, and being one of the original drafters 10 years ago, the Child-Parent Security Act will become law! Thank you Governor Cuomo, Assemblymember Amy Paulin, Senator Brad Hoylman, and the New York Legislature for their continued commitment to helping New Yorkers struggling with infertility, LGBTQ people, and women who choose to be carriers. The Act also provides protections for gamete donors and people who use donor gametes to help build their family. We all are thankful to all involved for providing security to children born through assisted reproduction. Even in these difficult times, the commitment to all New Yorkers is amazing, and very much appreciated. We look forward to finally being able to work with New York clients in this area of assisted reproduction.
