In today's class, we went over a number of fighters vs combat blades. We discussed the differences in weight, mass, spine thickness, and different handle and blade designs. It was a very productive time spent in learning about different aspects of blade design and to help in choosing the different types of knives available on the market.

Can you tell what this is? This is the grip strenghener I have been using for the past 2 months. It is a laci szaboball. One of a 3 ball set. This is the lightest tension one, the yellow dot. There is a red and a blue one as well. I like this as I can do different types of gripping eercises which help me to manuever and manipulate my blades. One of these days I will get around to putting up a video of some of the gripping methods I use to train to improe my overall functionality.
Covid really wiped alot of us out in terms of being in shape and mobile. We all like to attend class but we hate to do homework LOL. I recommend trying to develop a light workout of jumping jacks, burpees, a few deep squats and perhaps skipping rope in order to get our legs in shape and improve our ability to tolerate workouts and improve our overall level of fitness and mobility and agility. Just do a little bit at first and very gently progress. Think long term don't try to be an olympic athlete, LOL. Thoughts?
some sparring we did today... not an exercise about ego, but an exchange to learn, grow and improve. I thought the guys did great!
