#OTD in 1997, we designated the 1953-54 (Former) Manufacturers Trust Company Building. Designed by Gordon Bunshaft of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, it was one of the first buildings in the United States to introduce International Style modernism to bank design. #LoveNYCLandmarks

#OTD in 2009, we designated the c. 1857 Herman A. and Malvina Schleicher House. Located on an unusual circular site in #Queens, it is one of #NYC’s earliest surviving structures with architectural features inspired by the Second Empire Style including a mansard roof. #LoveNYCLandmarks
