Coming into the weekend thinking alot about the people you surround yourself with. A weekend often feels like either a lazy escape from reality or a frantic blur of to do lists that you gotta finish. Either way, by the time Monday rolls around, you are just dreading the start of the week. But what if we told you that your weekend can leave you feeling refreshed, recharged, supported and motivated to live your life with a purpose? That's why every Sunday we love to surround o...urselves with people who love God and love His people. Sunday isn't our checkpoint to make sure we fulfill our christian duty that week, Sunday is a huddle that happens before the big game. Sunday is a collection of people who have getting their spiritual practice in all week long. We get our calls from our team captain and hype one another up through embracing each other and reminding ourselves of the glory of our God. Then we head out Monday morning ready to fulfill our calling to reach our neighbors for the sake of Christ. Who are you surrounding yourself with this weekend? Hebrews 10:24-25 ESV "And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near." Colossians 3:16 ESV "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God."
