Spring exploration in the classroom this week! Exploring topics through various mediums helps children develop a deeper understanding of them as each medium provokes new questions and conversations. Nursery children were invited to pick their most favorite color this week and learn about the wide variety of shades, each with its own poetic name. From day to day our favorite colors might change, as we know colors call to us and are impacted by mood, time of day, and the whim of the moment. Nursery Class is Learning about Boats! This week they visited with two sailors. First they Zoomed with Eric, who was working on his boat in Mystic, CT. He showed them around his boat and the dock, and talked about the different names for things on a boat like galley and head! Thank you Eric! The next day they met with Jared Balanof, and got to ask lots of questions about boats. Thank you Jared!
