Dear Sisters and Brothers of St Michael's, Fr Vladimir will be celebrating the Liturgy with social distancing precautions at St Catherine's again this Sunday, July 19, at 12 noon. There will be no Vespers this Saturday. We hope to resume Vespers soon. Please plan to arrive early for Liturgy to assist with set up and plan to stay afterwards to help with breakdown and clean up. It does not take long. As is usual with gatherings these days, if you're not feeling well, you should... not attend and people in higher risk categories may want to consider staying home. Options for streaming the Divine Liturgy include St Vladimir's UC Cathedral via Facebook Sunday at 10 AM: https://www.facebook.com/StVladUkrainian/?ti=as. Another option is Trinity-St Nicholas' of Melbourne, Australia, which has Sunday liturgy that may be viewed by those on the east coast of the USA on Saturday evening at 8:30 PM. Sunday afternoon from 2-3:30 PM we will again be conducting our virtual trapeza (coffee hour) via Zoom. If you did not receive the e-mail with log in instructions please e-mail Reader Sam Howard at [email protected] or message us here on Facebook and we'll pass them along. There will be no coffee hour at St Catherine's and no access to the common room on the second floor. Please keep Father Protodeacon Christopher in your prayers as he was once again admitted to the hospital this week.Your continued prayers are also asked for Vincent R. Stay safe while continuing to be a communicator of Christ's message of love and salvation! Pray unceasingly and we hope to see you tomorrow either in person, virtually at trapeza, or both.

Liturgy returned today! (No vespers for now, we'll update when appropriate.) Let our mouths be filled with thy praise, O Lord, that we may sing of thy glory; for thou hast made us worthy to partake of thy holy, divine, immortal and life-creating Mysteries. Keep us in thy holiness, that all the day long we may meditate upon thy righteousness. Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia.

Christ is in our midst! After a too long delay we are ready to begin celebrating the Divine Liturgy again. We are planning to have the first Liturgy this coming Sunday, July 12th at 12:00 noon.... Following the Archdiocesan Regulations and the practice at St. Catherine's we present the following: *Those who are at a higher risk for COVID-19 are urged not come to church. *Those who feel in any way sick or are worried about attendance should not enter the church. *The faithful should wear a cloth face covering. *Attendees should sanitize their hands at the entrance of the church. *All present at the Liturgy should remain 6 feet or more away from others. Families may sit together. There are further recommendations about the clergy and choir as well as distribution of Communion. Those will be explained at the Liturgy. We ask that you continue to pray for our community, especially John K and Vincent R, as well as those who are affected by COVID-19: the patients, doctors, nurses and other medical staff, those who have succumbed to the infection - May their memories be eternal! We ask that anyone who plans to attend the Liturgy on Sunday arrive early to assist is preparing for the service and to assist in sanitizing the church afterward.

Still no word on when services will resume. NYC moves into phase 1 reopening on Monday, so that's hopeful.

The Archdiocese of New York has issued a protocol for the reopening of churches for Liturgy, however, the stage has not yet been reached at which they will authorize public Liturgy in New York City. We will keep you updated when our services begin again. Pray that it will be soon! May the Theotokos Iverskaya intercede that the gates be opened for us!
