Oh, nothing much going on over here ... just reminiscing about #thrifting in groups ... pre COVID-19

A MESSAGE ON COVID19 from OUR FOUNDER @sammydtv COVID-19 has impacted the globe and with it, how we spend time together. Since mid March, the @nycthriftingtours has not been operating. It has been a sad time for me, as I’ve missed meeting dozens of people I otherwise would have had the pleasure of connecting and thrifting with. One of the reasons the @nycthriftingtours is so successful is because it BRINGS PEOPLE TOGETHER via the power of secondhand shopping. While I...’m not sure when the tour can be up and running again, I do know that I can plan and strategize for ways to grow this business to reach more visitors and guests in the future. A new website for the tour and also myself (a personal site!) are in the works. Additionally, materials to promote this tour as a sustainability experience and educational seminar are also in development. My goal is to work more closely with universities this fall 2020. I am using this time NOT leading tours to prepare for bigger impact and inspiration when the time is right. THANK YOU to everyone who has ever taken a tour or connected with me via thrifting. While these times are tough on all small businesses, I am choosing to turn lemons into lemonade. I am so grateful for your support, and I can’t wait for the day I can thrift with you again! See more

Today we toured with students from the arts & sciences graduate program of NYU! It was such an honor to work with grad students who while locals, had yet to explore the #thrift scene near campus. Many were international, which was an added plus for their experience. Everyone left with something new-to-them (and some, many new-to-them things!) while discovering that easy, accessible, and FUN secondhand style is more than possible and possible ALL THE TIME. ... Thank you, New York University!
