Good morning Junior Anglers (and their fans!!) We are going to introduce you to a TRIO of Junior Anglers today . Yup! These three girls laugh, hang out and FISH together! They even took top prizes for their catches in the Hague fishing tournament this year! Check it out. Miley- age 7. Her favorite fish is salmon and she loves trolling. She caught a pike on Lake Champlain weighing in at 9.4, and it was 33.75 length! Miley has been fishing since she was big enough to reel...! Her favorite fishing saying (like most of us!!) is, "FISH ON!" Hailey is 9 years old. Her favorite fish is the lake trout. She caught a 14 lb trout that she took to the taxidermist. (We bet that looks great on the wall, Hailey!) She also caught a pike at the tournament that was the same weight as her sister Miley's catch, 9.4-- and as you can imagine, this caused quite a debate between them. Yeah, all of us anglers can relate- we've had those debates.... (or "discuss-uments"- y'know, part discussion, part argument) about our catches! Hailey's pike was 33 1/8 long though, so Miley beat her length- but not by much!! Amelia is 9 years old and she caught her fish on her BIRTHDAY there in Hague (what a great present!). Her Lake Champlain pike was 9.9 and 35 1/2 in length!!) These girls put blood, sweat and tears into fishing. The friendship they have is unbelievable. We know that anglers make great friends and angling forges great friendships! (Even with discuss-uments about catches happening among us!) So!
