A study conducted at #NYMCSOM this summer demonstrated that combining omega-3 fatty acids with a standardized oil from black cumin (Nigella sativa) may significantly reduce inflammation caused by a high-fat (Western) diet. The study was led by Nader Abraham, Ph.D., Dr.H.C., FAHA, professor of medicine and pharmacology, and involved several SOM students from the Class of 2023 Leah Gancz, Lior Levy, Ariel Sasson, Joseph Trainer and Abraham Resnick. http://ow.ly/vlPt50CaeIs

This past week, the #Psychiatry Interest Group partnered with administration and recreational therapy at the Behavioral Health Center to donate pumpkins for the children, adolescents and adults, to paint and decorate for the season.
