Coming into the year, I wasn't sure if I would be able to afford a ski season. I can't thank NYSEF enough for their support in making my season possible. I know that NYSEF helps so many athletes just like me follow their dreams even when it doesn't seem financially possible. - Jack, U19 + FIS alpine athlete. In the spirit of giving, please consider supporting athletes like Jack before 2020 ends! Donations to the Dare To Dream Scholarship Fund can be made at nysef.org/events.

NYSEF alum, Jake Doan drops a new edit check it out! Posted @withregram @upstate_doan @casttouring and @flylowgear presents, Going for Broke, a short film about a couple guys skiing and doing things their way. At the beginning of last season, @sanderhadley and I knew we wanted to do a project ourselves, and show our skiing in a relateable way. Equipped with not much more than a gopro and some friends behind the lens, it became something special, a real homegrown piece tha...t I think everyone can relate to in some way. I had the idea of doing the soundtrack myself, and when full quarantine hit in April-I dove in. The possibilities are endless when it comes to creating music, which can be a blessing and a curse. After many different tracks, versions, and visions, I settled on something that I felt fit the shots and the vibe best. Link to the full trailer in my bio. Full release drops in one week (October 22nd) on youtube.

#wintertermwednesday! LilyAnn is a U16 alpine athlete who is going on her third year with NYSEF’s Winter Term Program. When asked about this season, she said, I'm looking forward to racing against girls that are older because it’s more challenging and makes me work harder. When discussing balancing athletics and academics, LilyAnn said, Winter Term supports my athletic goals by giving me time on-snow in the morning and great coaching. They support my academic goals by allowing time in the afternoon to do my work at my own pace with help from tutors. This summer, LilyAnn has been training 4 days a week with NYSEF’s summer conditioning programs.
