Today is the anniversary of the death of my brother, Gregory Philip Foster. Forty-three years ago today, he was murdered with his partner, Rocco Laurie while pa...trolling a section of the 9th Precinct in New York City. He was 23 years old & fresh out of the NYC Police Academy. He & Rocco survived tours in Vietnam but lost their lives on the streets of New York City. The perpetrators were members of the Black Liberation Army who targeted pairs of black & white police officers. I have thought & prayed for them all these years. I ask all my FB family & friends to pray for them. Keep their memory alive.

After rescuing this Red-tailed hawk 3 months ago, Dr. Marino of LIVS and a staff member of the Sweetbriar Nature Center in Smithtown released the hawk back into... the wild. When Dr. Marino found the hawk, it had been shot with a pellet gun and was unable to fly or hunt. Sweetbriar cared for the hawk for the last few months until it was healthy enough to be released this morning!
