4 MUST DO TO INCREASE HIP FLEXIBILITY. WARM UP FIRST!!!! Start with a warm-up. You need a yoga mat or blanket underneath you. It will soften the pressure of your joints against the floor and neutralize discomfort. 1. Frog Stretch Through the floor keeping the torso parallel to the ground find a place that's tight and camp out on it for 10 deep breaths. Think about every time I exhale I'm getting deeper.... 2. Kneeling Psoas Stretch Starting in a kneeling position and split stance, your left leg forward and your right foot straight back. Bend your left knee so that it is at about a 90-degree angle. This should put you into a forward lunge position. Place your hands on your forward knee. Keep your shoulders relaxed, your hips even, your chest open, and your gaze straight ahead. Press down with your hands and drive the hips forward until you feel a stretch from the front of your hip, groin, and thigh on your left side. Hold the stretch for about 20 to 30 seconds. Release and repeat on the other leg. 3. [ADVANCED] - Kneeling Lunge Quad Stretch Begin in tabletop position. Bring your right leg forward, bending it at a 90 degree angle. Extend your left leg back behind you. Bend into the left knee, bringing your left foot towards the ceiling. Reach back and grab the inside of your left foot (the big toe side) with your left hand. Gently pull your foot towards your hip as you open your left shoulder. Press down into your right foot and engage your right thigh for balance. Gaze forward. Hold here and then switch sides. 4. Side Lunge Stretch Begin in a wide legged forward bend. Stay on your fingertips as you lower to a side lunge on the right. You can shift your right foot so your toes and knee point towards the upper right corner of your mat. To further the stretch you can turn your left leg out so your toes on your left foot point towards the ceiling with your heel on the floor. Either keep your right foot pressed into the mat or option to lift your heel. Fingertips can stay on the mat or for a challenge you can keep them at heart center (middle of the chest) Switch sides. . . . #physicaltherapy #scarsdale #larchmont #eastchester #thornwood #backpain #healthandwellness

Time is passing. Yet, for the United States of America, there will be no forgetting September the 11th. We will remember every rescuer who died in honor. We will remember every family that lives in grief. We will remember the fire and ash, the last phone calls, the funerals of the children. George W. Bush cred @eddie_reardon

Poor Posture Fix All you need is 1 minute. Do this now: 1. Get a timer or visible clock and set it to one minute. 2. Clasp your hands together and put it behind your head. ... 3. Sit in a strong posture. Tighten your core and actively pull back your elbows while squeezing your shoulder blades. 4. For one minute, focus on breathing and engaging the posterior chain to activate it. It’s quietly sleeping when you sit and cannot support your spine. 5. Just do it!! And have an amazing day!!
