NYU Project Sunshine 11.02.2021

With just half of the semester left to go, our SECOND TO LAST Teleplay Training of the semester is coming up! If you would like to be a volunteer but haven’t had the opportunity to join our Teleplay Trainings, now is your chance! Both new and returning members are required to complete the Teleplay Training once in order to be a volunteer. We hope to see you there!

I have been a part of PS since my freshman year and it has just been such a positive and friendly community. Spending time with pediatric patients and their siblings is incredibly rewarding and always puts a smile on my face. Hospitals can be a really intimidating environment for children and their parents, so I really appreciate being able to make it a little bit more welcoming!

No fulfillment compares to that of putting a smile on a kid’s face. Having positive role models was vital for me as a child and I always aspire to be the same whether it’s my nephews and nieces or even distant cousins. It’s a just a level of wholesomeness that’s unmatched by any other activity.

I joined Project Sunshine, because I love giving time to others as an escape from a hectic student life. Volunteering at the hospitals and meeting children and their families has helped ground me the past two years at NYU and I wouldn’t give it up for the world!
