NYU Class of 2020 18.12.2020

Niharika Singh (Niki) | College of Arts and Sciences | Computer Science + BEMT Class Activities Board 2020: President First of all, Congratulations Class of 2020! ... I am immensely proud and humbled to be part of this amazing class. The past four years at NYU have been challenging but definitely worth the work and effort. I am so lucky and grateful to have spent this time at such a lively and unique school surrounded by so many incredible people. I’m graduating with a degree in Computer Science from the Courant Institute of Mathematics in CAS as well as a minor in the Business of Entertainment, Media, and Technology. Through my time as a CS major, I’ve picked up half a dozen coding languages and had the opportunity to intern at a software company throughout my entire college career. NYU also gave me the opportunity to explore my passions and hobbies and I was so happy to be able to be a part of the Bollywood-Fusion team NYU Dillagi and even serve as Administrative captain my junior year. Dancing, competing, and winning the team’s first-ever trophy with Dillagi have become some of my fondest memories. I’ve been incredibly privileged to have served as your CAB20 President for two years and planning events for the Class of 2020 and advocating on your behalf has been the most phenomenal experience I’ve ever had. Seeing you all, my peers, at these events celebrate and engage with each other has always put a smile on my face. My e-board has consisted of people I consider to be my closest friends at NYU and they’ve made the long hours and endless meeting so worth it. You all deserved to end your four years at NYU with a kick-ass Senior Week and celebrate the days away with your best friends and all of your peers. I wish we could have celebrated Senior Week and Commencement the way we were meant to, but I assure you we’ll get our chance together soon, until then please post a million pictures with your Senior Sweatshirts, it genuinely makes my entire day better. Thank you NYU for an incredible four years, for teaching me a lot about myself, and for a million unforgettable moments. Thank you Class of 2020 and congratulations! #NYU2020

Krista Burton | Global Liberal Studies Class Activities Board 2020: Executive Vice President When I pitched the 50 Seniors in 50 Nights project, I didn't realize how important it would be to me. For the last 50 days, I have been reading through the bios of my fellow Class of 2020 graduates which has been a huge part of me accepting that my time at NYU has come to an end. I am honored to be graduating with such a talented and diverse group of students. ... At NYU, I have gotten to live out my dreams. I made some of my best friends through CAB, Welcome Week, and studying abroad. I grew so much as a person and was braver than I ever thought I could be. I wrote a 50 pages thesis analyzing the Tunisian Constitution and studied, what I believe is the hardest language, Arabic. Every day, I defended GLS as being the best and most under-appreciated major at NYU. On our commencement day, I am honored to be posting our last senior highlights - the Senior Class Activities Board. Remember, this is not goodbye, but just until next time. I will see you all at our makeup commencement and graduations. Congratulations to us all! #NYU2020 See more

Peyton Deal | College of Arts and Science | Linguistics Class Activities Board 2020: Vice President of Finance Hi, I’m Peyton! I’m from Wheaton, Minnesota, and I’m majoring in Linguistics. It was a trying four years, but I’m so happy to have finally completed my degree at NYU! I’ll always look at these past few years fondly, from walking in WSP to meeting new friends and classmates to exploring all the parts of NYC. It’s truly been a magical time! I’ll miss my friends and all the usual spots, and I’m so excited to see everyone again for a proper goodbye! I would like to thank my family and friends for always being there for me, my professors and the administrators who helped me along the way, my e-board for all the fun times we shared, and many more! Congratulations NYU Class of 2020you deserve it!!! #NYU2020

Guy Thomas | CAS and School of Global Public Health | Global Public Health & Biology Class Activities Board 2020: Vice President of Administration When I first transferred to NYU in 2017, I wasn’t sure if I was ever going to find my place in the university as everyone already seemed to have friends and groups they were a part of. Slowly but surely, I began meeting people throughout NYU and realized that I was where I was supposed to be. Little did I know, each person I met wo...uld have an incredible impact on who I would become. I am so thankful for all of the amazing professors and people I have met while at NYU. I will miss avoiding the mist of the fountain in Washington Square Park, the workout that is climbing the Silver stairs, and of course the view from the 9th floor of Kimmel. Being the VP of Administration for CAB20 had been one of the best experiences of my college career. Watching other students' faces light up at each event that we threw or the excitement of watching someone get their Senior Sweatshirt brought me more happiness than I could have ever imagined. To the rest of my CAB20 e-board, I love you all so much and I am so sorry that we didn’t get more time together. You are my best friends and I hope we never lose touch. Thank you Mom and Dad for everything that you have done in order to make my dream of attending NYU a reality! Congratulations Class of 2020!!! #NYU2020 See more
