Dear CAST community members, We stand in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement. We, your eboard, are deeply saddened by the recent murders of David McAtee, Tony McDade, George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and the continuous murders of countless other Black people by the police. CAST was founded to be a space where all theater-loving NYU undergraduates could come to feel safe and welcomed, and we continually strive toward that ideal. We understand that this is an especia...lly emotional, stressful, frustrating, and generally hard time for everyone, particularly for our Black community members. Please let us know if there is anything we can do for you, now and going forward. We are so sorry for not utilizing our platform earlier. We will be better. We encourage you to participate in the movement in whatever way you are able to - today and every day. Below are links to resources that we have found helpful in our constant work to educate ourselves. We hope that they are similarly helpful to all of our community members: - A master GoogleDoc with links for places to donate, petitions, local and national resources for protestors, media to read/watch and discuss, templates for contacting government officials, and more: www.ally.wiki - A list we compiled of Black American playwrights and works of theirs we recommend to start with. It is in no way comprehensive, and if you have suggestions of playwrights to add, please comment or message us: https://docs.google.com//1U8C5Spx8z3AxBbRk1fiZpw0ETw/edit

Unfortunately, due to unforeseen global circumstances, we are unable to perform our production of next to normal this spring as planned. However, we are happy to announce this incredible cast WILL get the chance to perform, just at a later date than expected. Our new production dates are now September 25th-27th in the 2020 fall semester. We are also happy to announce that on Saturday the 26th, we will have TWO performances. We truly can’t wait to share this story with you ...all once it’s safe enough for it to happen. Thank you all for your continuous support. #CASTisN2N
