Online Event | DramaLab 2021 | LEO DE SOL ASCENDENTE by Laura Galindo This event will be ONLINE and in SPANISH Laura Turégano of the King Juan Carlos I Spain Ce...nter (KJCC) and Alejandro Moreno of the Creative Writing in Spanish (CWS) Series, invite you to NYU’s DramaLab 2021. DramaLab 2021 features two days of virtual readings of plays written by CWS Master’s students Laura Galindo (Colombia) and Daniela Trabuchi (Argentina): Wednesday 5th and Friday 7th May, 7:00 p.m. With the assistance of invited authors, directors, actors and artists, the two theatrical texts written by Galindo and Trabuchi will be performed in Spanish. Sinopsis: Three women who look exactly the same, and apparently are the same, talk with each other. In the middle, an astrologist predicts the energy disposal from the cosmos. On the left, a woman suffers the loss of the love of her life, and on the right, a third woman celebrates that she has broken up with the love of her life after realizing that she was completely unhappy. Directed by Cristián Plana Interpreted by Paula Luchsinger Makeup artist: Franklin Sepúlveda Makeup artist assistant: Camila Bascuñán Video: Ricardo Valenzuela Laura Galindo (1987) is a cultural journalist who has been awarded with Simón Bolívar National Journalism Award twice, in 2018 and 2019. She is a second-year student at New York University’s MFA Program in Creative Writing in Spanish. She graduated as piano interpreter at the Pontifical Xaveriana University in Bogotá and holds a Master of Music from EAFIT University in Medellín, and a Master of Journalism from the University of the Andes in Bogotá. She is the Director of the radio station Señal Clásica, which has been part of Radio Nacional de Colombia since 2016. She has written monthly entertainment columns for Cromos and Diners for the last three years. Her texts have been published by El Espectador, El Malpensante, Soho, Credencial, Arcadia, Vice en Español and De justicia. She was an associated professor at the Universidad of the Andes from 2018 to 2019, and since 2019 has taught in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese of New York University.
