NYU Tandon School of Engineering Graduate Admissions

Assistant professor Christopher Musco (Department of Computer Science and Engineering) is the most recent NYU Tandon faculty member to receive a National Science Foundation CAREER Award for his efforts in spearheading a project to democratize big data modeling with novel algorithms.

Jeffery Pawlick, who earned a doctoral degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from NYU Tandon, collaborated with Assistant Professor Quanyan Zhu to write the recently released Game Theory for Cyber Deception: From Theory to Applications, which introduces game theory as a means to conceptualize, analyze, and model cyber deception.

OptionMetrics, a provider of historical options and implied volatility data for international institutional investors and academic researchers, announced that it has entered into an agreement with NYU Tandon allowing the the Finance and Risk Engineering Department use of their IvyDB options data for courses and research.

Sunthetics, a start-up founded by chemical and biomolecular engineering alumni Daniela Blanco, Myriam Sbeiti, and Miguel Modestino, recently won admission to the Heritage Group Hardtech Accelerator. This highly competitive program will allow them to spend 13 weeks honing their businesses and marketing strategies under the guidance of experts in various industries.

Damon McCoy, professor of computer science and engineering at the New York University Tandon School of Engineering, and doctoral student Laura Edelson are bringing transparency to political advertising with the newly launched, first-of-its-kind tool NYU Ad Observatory.
