Jackeline Tejada, former ELI student and graphic designer, had her extraordinary work featured on the Viacom CBS billboards in Times Square. Jackie says: My inspiration comes based on diversity, so I decided to include raising hands of different colors representing the voters. The design has a pendulum shaped showing that the election time is getting closer and that people need to go out and vote early. Every raising hand represents a voice that needs to be heard. 2020 has been a year of many historical and sad events such as injustice, racism, deaths due to the pandemic and there has also been an increase in violence. That’s why I chose to put both 2020 and VOTE in a black color that can represent a symbol of grief. Congratulations on being chosen as one of the finalists, Jackie! #vote2020 #vote

It's been a long journey to this moment. Our NYU community has dedicated itself whole-heartedly to this year's election, which will be among the most consequential we'll ever experience. Now, all that's left to do is VOTE. Here are your eligible voter options for today, Tuesday, Nov. 3: Vote in person at your assigned polling place (don't forget any identification you may need). Drop off your absentee ballot at your designated drop off site.... If you have any trouble casting your ballot, get in touch immediately with Election Protection by texting or calling 866-OUR-VOTE. You can also reach the NYU Votes team with any last-minute questions at [email protected]
