Huge congratulations to My Octopus Teacher for the Oscar - Best Documentary Feature! As co-director, Pippa Ehrlich so beautifully articulated In many ways this really is a tiny personal story that played out in seaforest at the very tip of Africa, but on a more universal level I hope that it provided a glimpse of a different type of relationship between human beings and the natural world. And check out our Special Q&A Discussion for My Octopus Teacher from a few weeks ago ...with Co-Directors James Reed and Pippa Ehrlich joined by Adi Khen, Ph.D. candidate at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, UC San Diego and moderated by John Calvelli, SVP Wildlife Conservation Society. My Octopus Teacher is on Netflix. Watch the conversation: https://vimeo.com/522168627 #myoctopusteacher #octopus #seachangeproject #greatafricanseaforest #bestdocumentaryfeature

Happy Thursday! #repost from @bbcearth . . .... Put your best foot forward! #EarthCapture by @suraj_ramamurthy Least terns breed during spring on the sandy beaches of North America. Both parents take turns incubating the eggs for around three weeks. Even though they are capable of flying after just a few weeks, hatchlings often stay with their parents for as long as three months. #bbcearth #leasttern #hatchling #chick #northamerica #beach #bird #birdsofinstagram #ornithology #beautifulbirds #birdwatching #wildlife #wildlifephotography #naturephotography #amazinganimals #nature #naturelovers #earth #earthlovers
