The deadline to register for the 2021 Football & Cheer Season is coming up! If you haven't done so already - get your registration in! Registration will close on June 21st! If you'd like to sign up in-person, we will be taking registrations on Saturday, June 5th from 11am-1pm at Hyde Park (Owego Little League Fields) at the Pavilion on the hill! UPDATE: We have reached 1,000 subscribers and appreciate the help in getting to that goal. Please continue to subscribe if you haven't. The more subscribers t...he better! To answer a couple of questions that have been brought up. We plan to stream ANY and ALL district events that we can. This includes any music/performing arts events, board meetings, school ceremonies, and athletic events. There may be situations where logistics won't allow for live streams and we will work through those issues if/when they happen. There will be no monetization of any live streams on the district YouTube channel. Our district page is required to have at least 1,000 subscribers to enable 'mobile device' live-streaming. As stated before, we currently have the ability to live stream when using a separate streaming software or video camera (i.e. Zoom or OBS type program) and a computer. 'Mobile device' streaming will be needed for locations where this equipment isn't available. (Please see screen shots of YouTube notifications about this. With our 1,000+ subscribers we now wait for official approval from YouTube.) We really appreciate the support of the community and look forward to providing access to as many events as possible. For the district to be able to Live Stream from a mobile device to our YouTube Channel, we need a minimum of 1,000 subscribers. We are currently able to offer some live-streaming of events where we have cameras and computers available to run the broadcast, however in locations where we don’t have that equipment readily available the ability to use an iPad or another mobile device will be necessary. YouTube only allows mobile device live-streaming options to channels with over 1,000 subscribers. So.. we need your help!! With the current health and safety guidelines not allowing spectators at events, we plan to start streaming all upcoming sporting events, as well as other district activities. The ability to stream district events will allow us to showcase and share the outstanding things our students and staff are doing! Hi OAFC Families!! Please see the note from our OFA Football Program - we've been invited to join in the challenge with them!! It's tonight, so get ready!! ----------------------------------------------------------- Attention Owego Apalachin Football Family, Fans, Friends, Alumni & Coaches We have been challenged to a 15 minute push-up challenge - on Friday night, April 3rd at 7:00pm (Kickoff time!!) we will have everyone do as many pushups as you possibly can until 7:15 - N...O Cheating!! You will then send the results to your head football coach from this past year - we need to know how many people participated and how many total pushups were performed. Everyone in each household is encouraged to participate - the more people the more pushups! With each pushup we are sending a Thank You, hug, prayer or positive thought to all our nurses, doctors, first responders and hospital & medical workers out there on the front line fighting this battle. Other Section IV Football programs started this week (ME had 132 people with 23,000 pushups and Sus. Valley had 266 for 27,000 pushups) - let's beat that score!!! Please stay safe & stay strong!!
