After much discussion and careful consideration, O’Connell Gardens will be closed for all events over 50 people starting Monday March 16th through Saturday April 25th. We are following protocols issued by the CDC and NYS Governor Cuomo. Our thoughts and prayers are with all people and businesses affected by this virus, and we are looking forward to a quick return to normalcy. To protect our guests and employees, our offices will be closed for two weeks starting Tuesday Marc...h 17th. If you have an affair booked between the dates of 3/16/2020 - 4/25/2020, our Banquet Manager will be reaching out to you to re-book your event at the earliest opening. COVID-19 UPDATE First and foremost, O’Connell Gardens is dedicated to the health and safety of our guests and staff. We are proactively monitoring the recent situation of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and are following best practice guidelines and hospitality service protocols issued by the CDC and World Health Organization. As this situation rapidly evolves, we are taking the necessary steps to ensure that we are prepared. We remain dedicated to keeping our guests in the kno...w and well aware of our policies and procedures. PROPERTY-WIDE CLEANING PROTOCOL: Rest assured we are taking the highest precautions to maintain a safe environment for your affairs. Our customers and their guests are our top priority! We have elevated our already aggressive sanitation measures to ensure we protect the health of our guests and staff to the absolute best of our abilities: * Year-round, we employ the use of hospital-grade cleaning detergents. * Enhanced stringent cleaning of public areas and touch points. This includes frequent disinfecting of handles, faucets, trash cans, seating and counters. * We have mandated the use of gloves for our servers throughout the entire affair, not only during clean up. * Planned deep clean of our entire premise. PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES: We are reinforcing proactive steps that the CDC recommends to prevent the spread of germs: * Wash your hands with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds. * Avoid close contact with people who are sick. * Use a disposable tissue or elbow to cover a cough or sneeze. * Avoid touching your face, particularly your eyes, nose, and mouth. * Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects. * Employees are prohibited to come to work if they are feeling sick or have a fever. * Stay home if you have flu-like symptoms.
