Oswego County Traffic Safety Board 04.07.2021

UPDATE: Emergency vehicles have cleared the scene. Rt 481 has been re-opened. OSWEGO- Oswego Firefighters and Police are on the scene of a traffic accident. Rt 481, in both directions, is closed south of Syracuse Ave. Please avoid the area. Traffic is being routed via Churchill Road.

Did you know May is National Bike Month? With weather getting a little nicer as we inch towards summer more and more folks will be out riding! Don't forget you helmet! Did you know according to a recent study "Almost three-quarters of fatal crashes (74%) involved a head injury. Nearly all bicyclists who died (97%) were not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash." If you have questions about bike helmets or need one let us know we may be able to help!

Thank you to everyone who came out for our Car Seat Check Event! We were able to check 30 seats and only 1 seat was reported installed completely correct! On Average 90% of car seats are installed incorrectly, however we noted 96% installed incorrectly at this event!
