Old Cove Yacht Club

T'was the night before Christmas and on Old Harbor Road, All boats are on drydock because of the cold. The roof permits are filed down at town hall, The project's a "go" thanks to you all!... As we close out the year and reflect on the past, we are grateful to have made memories in those little boats with masts. Optis, 420s, and those fast Lasers too, in springtime will all be ready for you. Instructors, parents, and all the kids on the dock, You're the heart of this club--YOU GUYS ROCK! Now we wish you and yours a holiday season of cheer, and look forward to a very happy and healthy new year! HAPPY HOLIDAYS!! OCYC Board of Directors

Hello Old Cove Members, It is with great sadness that the OCYC Board of Directors share the news of the passing of our long-time club treasurer, and friend, Chris Kuehn. Chris was a dedicated volunteer who served in his post for over 20 years. His attention to detail, passion for the sport of sailing, and forward thinking in the area of Junior Racing helped shape Old Cove into the successful program it is today. Based on need, and without reservation, Chris served the club ...as Junior Program Director, race organizer, race sponsor, scorer, communications director, website director, registration chair, treasurer, and de-facto in house counsel. To say that Chris’ efforts and dedication to Old Cove will be missed would be a huge understatement. The Board of Directors would like to extend our deepest condolences to Chris’ wife, Aida, and their sons, Daniel and Stefan. We would also like to thank the Kuehn family for all of Chris’ time dedicated to making Old Cove a better place over these 20+ years. Fair winds and following seas on your final voyage.
