URGENT INFORMATION REGARDING THE CORONA VIRUS EMERGENCY: With both a NYS and Federal declaration of a State of Emergency, Cardinal Dolan has issued an immediate statement about parish activities. Due to the urgency of the situation, all parish gatherings except Mass and sacraments are to be canceled until at least March 30th. There will therefore be no meetings of any groups, and all special events and activities are canceled effective immediately. This applies to the Relgi...ous Education Program, as well as the Parish. We are allowed to continue the celebration of Mass provided the congregation does not exceed 50% of the seating capacity of the church. Fortunately for us, our attendance falls within this restriction, so our weekend and daily Masses will continue as normal. We will, however, suspend Stations of the Cross and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament during this time. Deegan has announced Catholic Schools within the Archdiocese of New York will close all elementary schools in our system effective Monday, March 16 2020 until Friday March 20th, 2020, with the possibility of a lengthier closure. Informed by expert health officials and the Health and Safety Task Force of the Office of the Superintendent of Schools, this decision was made out of an abundance of caution. The health and safety of our students, staff and families is of the utmost importance. We are continuing to monitor the situation surrounding COVID-19 (Coronavirus).
