New to the bookstore! The Angel in the Marketplace by Ellen Wayland-Smith, author and Oneida Community descendant. Ellen tells the story of a nineteenth-century businesswoman climbing the ranks in the advertising industry. Adwoman Jean Wade Rindlaub comes full-circle by playing on the traditional American way of life, to then question the social message being spread by her Ads. Call 315-363-0745 or email [email protected] to purchase. Curbside pickup and shipping available. #oneidacommunitymansionhouse #oneidacommunity

Yesterday, Mike Colmey, our building and grounds director and contractors Energy & Environment, and Pulver Roofing, drew roof samples in preparation for the upcoming roof work. From the photographs, you can see the varying layers in this historic roof. Donate to this critical roof rehabilitation project, visit https://www.oneidacommunity.org/support-us

The Oneida Community Mansion House was recently able to complete a historic window project funded by a $10,000 Legislative grant from the New York State Assembly. This project removed and replaced broken or cracked panes in overnight guestrooms, apartments, and common areas. In addition to the replaced panes, this contract included the removal and replacement of deteriorated wood around the window sash, frame, and sill. This project was completed by Daniel Maine and his crew. They worked on 24 locations and replaced a total of 34 glass panes. These improvements will improve the conditions and aesthetics of these areas while preserving the historic windows in the National Historic Landmark structure.
