Our surgery center is open and we are once again performing eye surgeries at the Albany Regional Eye Surgery Center (ARESC). Optical Services are fully open at each of our offices providing all services during clinic office hours, everything from minor repairs to contact lens orders or filling new vision scripts / new eyewear.

When Dr. Ebbing diagnosed me with severe dry eyes he tried every remedy available to him, but to no avail. So he investigated something that was not available at the time, and now I am enjoying the therapeutic benefits of NOVE TEARS, serum eye drops that after only 6 weeks have begun to heal the inflammation. It was a Friday afternoon. I had noticed a change in my right eye. Called to make an appointment, explained my situation and was told a doctor will get back to me. Within minutes Dr. Feldman called and said I should come in right away - could be a detached retina. I told him my wife is disabled and I had no one to be with her - I'll come in Monday. He explained the urgency and asked if I could come in the next day. OK. Saturday morning, arrived with my daughter and waited in the car - the office was closed. Shortly the Doc arrived - yes, it was his day off. With no assistant he did it all - examined me, explained the situation and options all in a reassuring manner. Hippocrates would be proud!

I would like to thank both of these Doctors for the wonderful care I received. I received the most thorough eye exam I have ever had in my life. The Tech and office staff are all so friendly and helpful. I experienced no waiting time at all. The most efficient practice I have encountered ever. Dr Zieker and his associates performed cataract removal and lens implant on both of my eyes. I reported my opinion of Dr Zieker and his associates after the first surgery. I rated them EXCELLENT. My opinion after the second surgery has not changed. They could be the best cataract surgery team in the county. I cannot thank Dr Zieker enough for the remarkable improvement in my vision and especially my color perception. I had not realized how much my color perception I had degraded as I aged.

Dr. Rabady successfully performed very delicate surgery on the retina of my eye to remove scar tissue that was severely distorting my vision. The immediate results of exceeded my expectations and my eyesight continues to improve. Dr. Rabady is skilled and thorough. All of my questions about surgical details, risks, and options were clearly explained. Dr. Feldman was awesome. I started needing readers about 20 years ago and then about 5 years ago I needed glasses for distance. I used contacts for a couple years with one for distance and one for reading which was nice. When I was diagnosed with cataracts and astigmatism. I had the option of using a lens that would correct both. Dr. Feldman did not pressure me he simply gave me options. I had one eye done a year ago and recently had the other eye. I can now see 20/20 and night driving is much much better. Very good Dr. and his staff, highly recommended.

Almost 2 years ago, I developed large floaters in my eyes that were obstructing my vision. I was seeing another doctor in the area. First, he made me wait 6 months to see if they'd go away and then he started doing laser surgeries. He told me he would have to do several surgeries but that I would see improvement after each one. After 4 surgeries on each eye, $2100 out of pocket, and many months (surgeries have to be 3 months apart), I still saw no improvement and I was very d...iscouraged. I was scheduled for more of these laser surgeries and I wasn't hopeful. My niece got a new job working for Ophthalmic Consultants and mentioned my issues to Dr. Rabady. He said - tell her to come see me, I can help her. Soon after meeting with him, we scheduled my first Vitrectomy. All went smoothly. A month later, I had the second.
