Our tomatoes we're grafted and have spent the past 3 days in the healing chamber. Doing this makes them stronger and more productive over a wider range of conditions. We're laying great foundations for the upcoming season!

Did you know that the praying mantis is related to crickets and grasshoppers? They belong to the order Orthoptera. We encourage and rely on these predatory insects as well as physical barriers like floating row cover to help us control garden pests instead of using harsh chemicals and pesticides. Fun fact: praying mantis go through 5 immature stages called instars. This is why you rarely notice them earlier in the year. They're around but much smaller and harder to find
