The turkey poults are getting big!

While we take some time off to regroup, we are adding a few new flock members to have a variety of different kinds of eggs. Turkey eggs are delicious.

At this time in history.... We have big questions and bigger problems to address in regards to our agricultural model. Superbugs and pandemics are a real concern. The industrialized model of agriculture is unsustainable for many reasons. The overuse of antibiotics is proven to be harmful to humans and the environment. This is why we stress the importance of sustainable and organic husbandry whenever possible. If the farmer creates a healthy environment with access to spa...ce, soil and sunshine, the need for antibiotics and the resulting resistance to them is reduced.
