Faith is everything for us as Christians. Without faith in Christ, we are lost. We can take for granted the power of faith in Jesus. Even the smallest amount of it can do incredible things. It’s not the size of our faith but the object of our faith in the Lord that gives us strength.

In this week's OS | Kids video, Mrs. Roma tells us the exciting story of Moses and the Burning Bush. It is from the Burning Bush that God tells Moses that He is "I am." Mrs. Roma unpacks this powerful statement for us and also explains how this scene was a pivotal point in Moses' life.

What are you boasting in today? Is it yourself? Your own works, accomplishments, or reputation? Or are you boasting in the cross of Jesus Christ alone? On the cross, the desires of the flesh, sins of the world, and pressure to always measure up have been defeated. If we are to boast, may we boast in Christ alone.

God told Abraham that his people would outnumber the stars of the sky. This covenant He has made to His people is unconditional. You are one of the Lord’s stars, and He has made you a part of His heavenly galaxy through faith in His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ.

When Jesus calls you out on the water, you can be reluctant like Peter was. You can have doubts if he will sustain you. We forget that Peter actually did walk on the water. It was only when he looked at the winds and took his eyes off the Lord that he stumbled and fell. Keep your eyes on the one who commands the winds and waves.

As family in Christ, we never have to stand alone or be isolated from others. We have been united as brothers and sisters by the body and blood of Jesus. When our neighbor is standing alone, remind them that they are not an island unto their own.

We are getting ready for a new sermon series this Sunday! You aren't going to want to miss our discussion on faith and governance. Here is an overview of the series "Godly Politics": Want to spark a spontaneously heated debate at the dinner table? Go straight to politics or religion. It has been said that religion and politics don’t mix. That isn’t always true, however, in our lives. We confess a healthy separation of Church and State in our government, but our political vi...ews and dealings should be influenced by our Christian faith and God’s word. On the whole, Jesus doesn’t speak at length about the politics of his time (he was more concerned with the justification of man), but he does speak about honoring those elected officials who have been put into power over us. The Apostle Paul offers more godly advice for what it means to be a Christian citizen of this world. Old Testament writings also tell us that it is God who has established governments over us for the sake of good order and the protection of His people. So we ask again, Do religion and politics go together? The Scriptures would suggest yes, to an extent they have to! Therefore, we can say that there is a righteous perspective to dealing with politics and a way for government to fit under God’s sovereign rule of the world. Now what does this biblical reality mean for us in this election season when our faith and politics seem so disconnected? How can our Christian faith help us to engage in humble, healthy conversation around the topic of politics? Join us online at 10:30AM on Sunday morning!

Good Afternoon Brothers and Sisters, It is with much regret and disappointment that we will have to cancel our October Praise in the Parking Lot service for this upcoming Sunday. If you have been following the local news for our city, Rego Park (11374) is one of the nine zip codes that is now considered a cluster area for the Covid-19 virus. This includes an increase of positive tests over the course of the last seven days. Now that Rego Park is on this cluster list, there ar...e restrictions that will take place in the neighborhood's non-essential businesses including that of churches and mass worship gatherings. Service will be hosted online from the church. Thank you for your grace and understanding in these circumstances. Peace be with you. In Christ, Pastor Anthony

Mrs. Roma tells us the incredible story of baby Moses, one of the Old Testament patriarchs, as found in the book of Exodus. The Lord had protected this baby because He had incredible plans for him to lead His people out of slavery and into freedom. Please, feel free to leave a comment and respond with a like to show your support for our kids' ministry. Thanks for all of your support!
