Fish are dropping back with very few fresh fish around. Beads, sacks and pink worm all taking fish. 8mm beads doing the best for us. Water is 350cfm with some color to it. We hit 12 with 5 coming to the net.
Had Tyler and Morgin on board today and it was her first time on the river . It was a hard grind again but Morgin capitalized on our only float drop with her first ever steelhead . A 8 pound spawned out female on a bead! Water is still brown and cold.
Had Allen and Brian on board today. Cold and windy with dirty cold water but we played with a few. Allen boated one on a bead with Brian loosing one on a egg sack. We missed one on the plugs thumping the rod over a few times then coming off. Brian wated to try rowing the boat so we gave him a chance! Back out again tomorrow!
Waters heading down some and new fish should be in now! Have Friday, Sunday and Monday open! 518 332 7361
Beautiful day out on Sunday, had Dathan and Conner both on there first steelhead and drift boat trip. First stop was are only spot to get into fish with Dathan boating 1 and dropping 2. Nice day with many people around fishing. Oh Conner did get into a fish. The elusive striped salmon river brown trout! Aka hog nose sucker lol! Tough fishing continues with the water tinted with the run off. Brown's and lakers are biting out on the lake with state launch open from snow!
Grind today for us with 2 coming to the boat and one coming off. Egg sacks again this time white doing the damage. Water is at 1500 cm out of the dam. Look for the deeper calm seams close to the bank out of the fast water.
Well mother nature sent the water. Be carefull out there. Water flooding around the resivors. Should bring in some fresh chrome though! Hope all had a wonderful Christmas!
Merry Christmas to all from all of us here of OAGS!! May your floats drop and lines be tight!! May 2021 let us all gather and be a family again!
Waters going up finally!!
12 degrees out when we hit the river this morning. Eggs sacks were the ticket today. Chartruse early then blue. Hooped a few and lost 3 more. Nice sunny day with many eagles flying around. The river was quiet for a Saturday.
