Our ol' pal Durgan paid us a visit today with his best new sis, Tilly! They brought us donations on behalf of the Greenlay's because they didn't want presents for themselves! So very sweet! Thank you and Merry Christmas!!
We at OAS just want to give a shout out and a big thank you to all those that have been dropping off donations for our sweet kiddos here at the shelter! We are genuinely frustrated that we can not thank all of you in person, due to keeping our staff safe from Covid, but please know that we are so very grateful for everything!!! More than you know! We hate having you leave items outside, but to keep us safe and continuously healthy and able to care for our pets, it is an unfortunate necessity. We are trying to catch and thank everyone individually, but we may miss you. Feel free to leave us a note or give us a shout on the phone! From the tips of our paws to our wonky ears, we thank you!
Combes Family! You are the best elves ever! Thanks for the tote of supplies and goodies! Merry Christmas!!
Capp is a super biggity derpy guy who loves people, playtime, and treats! Capp will need to be the only dog in the home and in a home with no small children. He will need a strong owner that has big dog experience and is a good leader. Capp loves to give kisses and play ball. This handsome dude is ready for a new family!
Our former fabulous Lucky and his super sis, Faith, sent us some goodies today with the help of their humans for "Make a Dogs Day"!! We are so very thankful for your generosity and these awesomely adorable pics of our boy! Thanks, guys!!
Thank you McCann Family for the sweet card and towels/blankets! Our kiddos will be super snuggly now!
This super biggity 120# slobbering ball of derp will be available soon at OAS. Capp will need to be in a ONE DOG home and with someone that can handle his large size/strength. He does well on leash, but can sometimes pull quite hard to get to something he wants. He is a 2-3 year old Dane/Lab mix. A big boy with big love to give! Questions...please call the shelter. Applications being accepted. Look for his complete profile in the next few days.
Thank you to our handsome Gus and the Noto Family for the generous donation of toys, treats, food, and peanutbutter!!! Happy howlidays and give our Gus man a smootch for us!
Available soon! This little ball of lovable bits is Uma! Uma came to OAS with a case of demodectic mange, but is steadily growing those lovely locks back. Uma is just a pup at around 7-8mths. Your best guess on breed mix is about as good as ours at this point, but she's a darn cutie patootie with a spunky, sweet personality to match! Questions...call the shelter. Applications may be submitted. Look for her profile in the next few days!
Jenkins left today for his new home! His family was super excited to get him settled and he was just as excited to have lots of love and attention! Happy life, little friend!
Thank you Pryor Family for your awesome monetary donation and also toys and blankets!!
Many thanks to the Nine Mile Point Family for raising a generous donation for our kids! It will go a long way to help making our kiddos comfy while in our care! Merry Christmas!
We have a couple of cute, friendly piggies up for adoption and still waiting for a loving home. Both males...would like to go together. Check out our adoptable cat album for more info on our salad eaters!
Due to the holiday, the Shelter will be closed tomorrow, Monday, October 12. For emergency calls, please dial 911. Thank you and enjoy the day off with your furkids, if you have it!
Our former doggo Murphy and his lady Maxine are waiting for some sweet Christmas dreams...they heard something about sugar plum treats? Anyone know anything about that? Hap-pawy holidays, fur buds!
Johnny, formerly Morrison, is settling into his new home for the holidays! Looks like he's exhausted from online shopping with his Dad and you know from just being handsome all the time. We know his big heart and purrs will help heal his new family's hearts, as they mourn the loss of a recent fur friend. Happy meowlidays, guys! Thank you for taking our sweet boy into your loving home!

Looks like our former June Bug is celebrating the holiday Hawaiian style! We love pineapples, too! Mele Kalikimaka, little one! You are beautiful!
Abby a Christmas cutie pie for sure! Nice to see your beautiful face again, little lady! Merry Christmas!
If you have been considering adopting a cat, now is the time! We are overrun with amazing cats and need to free up some space. We are slashing adoption fees for the month of October. All cats over 6 months are free and kittens under 6 months are only $35. All our cats are fixed, tested for FELV/FIV, dewormed, treated for fleas, and vaccinated! Please submit an application today for adoption! And please share this post! *Note: due to COVID-19, adoptions are being scheduled by appointment only! The first step is to submit an application!
We would just like to remind everyone that due to Covid restrictions, we do NOT have open visiting hours. Appointments will be made for those with PRE APPROVED applications, to view the animal they are interested in adopting. We appreciate your understanding, as we try to keep our small staff safe and healthy and ensure that our animals remain cared for. Thank you! Applications can be submitted online by clicking the link in the first post pinned to the page or by stopping by the shelter and grabbing a paper copy in the folder by the front door.
Happy National Black Dog Day to all our furry friends out there! End the stigma of the "black pet"....tell us their name and why you love your black pooch below!
Our former gal Stella seems to have fallen under a Christmas spell waiting for Santa...it's okay girl, we all fall under the magical snuggly bed spell sometimes. ;) Happy holidays, beautiful!
We think our former guy Rocco is looking pretty darn dapper in his Christmas finest! He will certainly make all the ladies swoon under the mistletoe this year! Happy howlidays, buddy!
A face full of smiles, for sure, including the ones behind the camera!! Our goofy, fun loving boy, Tango just left with his new family. We promise you those smiles will last forever
Merry Christmas to our former gal Kinley and her big sis, Kendall! Don't they look so snuggly waiting patiently for Santa Paws? Stay warm, kids!
