Our Woods Maple Syrup & Products

Last night’s dinner was delicious and EASY Maple Peeps! Our Woods Maple Spiced Chicken So easy it’s funnyfirst, get a chicken. ... Once you’ve accomplished that yank the giblet bag (a whole different conversation ), rinse the bird thoroughly and pat it dry. Rub it down inside and out with good EVOO, liberally sprinkle the entire bird inside and out with a good dose of OWM Spice Rub. This is NOT the place to be shy! Quarter an onion, hit that w/ a little EVOO & OWM Spice Rub and shove it in. Again, can’t be shy here either. Set your air fryer (we’ve been playing with this thing a lot. It’s pretty cool) for 365* for 35 mins. 35 mins breast side down. FLIP 35 mins breast side up. Caveat is we understand these things vary so use a meat thermometer. Books say internal temp of 165* - I like it REAL dead so I go 170* ! Let the bird rest about 10 mins. Now this is part is good. While you’re resting your bird take that delicious schmaltz (rendered chicken fat), mix it 1:1 with OWM Bourbon Barrel Aged Maple Syrup (another caveat - you folks wiped us out at Christmas time - THANK YOU - we’re sold out. This is Kim’s private stash ). OF COURSE substitute our maple syrup! Then add a generous splash of ginger ale. Yes. Ginger Ale (psstguess a spice in the spice rub ). Mix thoroughly to get rid of the fizz (unless you’re into fizz ) and drizzle over slices of the chicken, some great garlic mashed potatoes a la Kim, pour a nice red wine or good beer and life is good Maple Peeps.
