The Inside Scoop by Brady Houser Nascar Camping World Truck Series Star Raphael Lessard sat down with me and we talked about his career but specifically Knoxville and Bristol.The 19 year old Canadian star started out last year with Kbm(Kyle Busch Motorsports) and he had numerous top 5’s and 10’s and A win at Talladega.This upcoming season Lessard will move to Gms racing and look to chase for the truck championship.... Lessard commented About the dirt races and he said I'm really excited to start something new in my career. I grew up watching races at Autodrome Granby and Drummondville and have always wanted to race dirt. As far as Knoxville, that's one of the most prestige race tracks in the country and i'm really looking forward to it. Bristol will definitely be a challenge with the high banking but i'm really excited The gms stable was spotted testing over the weekend a Ump modified to start practicing for these events.Lessard's teammates Chase Purdy,Tyler Ankrum,Zane smith and Lessard all got laps around the Lanier Speedway in the ump Lessard said’ The umps were different handling wise. I tested a big block mod back in the day and it was way different than a ump. I'm hoping I can start racing more dirt in the near future.
