Orange County Emergency Management- NY The weather forecast models are all beginning to line up. It looks like we're going to get hit hard with snow. Some areas... of the county might get more than two feet of snow. The rest of the week will be very cold, with temperatures at night in the teens. If you heat your house with oil or propane, check the levels to make sure you don't run out. This afternoon we'll post the expected timeline of the storm. As of this moment, all we can say is it's going to start around dusk, get bad late tonight, and continue with starts and stops until mid-morning Thursday. Don't travel if you can avoid it. Snowfall may exceed three inches per hour. FYI, snowplows can only keep up with a rate of one and a half inches per hour. More to follow. There is no parking on any Tuxedo Town Road during a snowstorm. If your vehicle is hampering snow removal, it may be towed. We hate to do this, so please remove your vehicle from the roadway. Go easy if you must be out. Have appropriate snow tires. Water, food, blankets, flashlights and a charged phone, in vehicle. The best advice is, if possible, stay home and be safe.

On saturday December 19, 2020 the Tuxedo Park Fire Department will be escorting Santa around the hamlet and the east village, starting around 4pm. This year will be a little different, as Santa will be following Covid safety restrictions, and greeting everyone from the fire truck. We look forward to seeing everyone on saturday. As we approach the first significant snowfall of the season, we would like to remind everyone to please shovel out fire hydrants near your property.

It is with deep regret, that the Warwick Fire Department, Raymond Hose Company #2, announces the passing of 10 yr member Robin Kittner. Robin was a Past Capta...in of the Warwick Fire Police, Past Warwick Fire Department Vice President, Past Co-Chairwoman of the 104th OCVFA Parade and a past member of the WFD Auxiliary. At the request of the family, funeral services are private. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Our thoughts and our prayers are with Robin's family during this very difficult time.
