Pamaya Red Salon 06.07.2021

Great cut and color by Aleida

Pamaya Red Salon 19.06.2021

Well, here we are week 5 that salon has been closed and we’re still surviving, drinking, eating, drinking, walking, facetiming, drinking. Want to thank those of you that have bought our discounted gift certificates, color kits, root concealers and shampoo and conditioning treatments. It really helps and we are grateful for your friendship and generosity. We have decided to try something new.at least for me, and that is ZOOM. This way not only will we be sending out weekly i...nformation, it will now be possible for us to set up question and answer webinars( I think that’s what they are called) so we can show you what we are talking about when it comes to color application, bang trimming, ends trimming and conditioning treatments. Considering Iala, myself and Aleida will be in on these, it should be fun, adlibbed, unorganized and depending on who’s actually filming it, amusing. If you would be interested in this, please email us at [email protected]. At this point, we and the powers that be have no idea when we will be reopening and what it may look like when we do open. I’m assuming we will be doing fewer clients per day to begin with (so will probably be open 6-7 days each week} will all be wearing masks and gloves and face shields, disinfecting chairs and all surfaces in between clients and limiting the total amount of people in the salon at any given time. Hopefully it won’t be for long, but I think this is what we should expect. Assuming that we will all, or at least a good amount of us, be raging alcoholics by this timewe will keep the bar fully stocked, the music playing and Iala and I will try and break out of our shy, quiet shells to keep all entertained. Again, I want to thank all of you that have helped us and hopefully see you sooner than later. Thank you so much for being our friends

Dear Friends As we enter into week three of salon being closed, I hope everyone is distancing and staying healthy..I'm thinking that this may be a very opportune time for everyone to accept our hopefully not too lengthy self quarantine and to let those bangs grow out, let your hair get longer and start thinking about new styles for the spring/summer. Also an excellent time to hold off on all the blow drying and hot ironing that some of us do and to give our hair a nice rest.... Also, to go thru your medicine cabinets and bathroom drawers and get out all those shampoos and conditioners and hair treatments we've been saving and start using them. And, before you start using them, why don't you text us and let us know exactly what products you have so we can tell you what may or may not still be good for your hair. Remember, ONLY YOUR HAIRDRESSER KNOWS FOR SURE. HaHa This will give time to clean out the cabinets and give US something to do while we wait to reopen. Text to 845-664-4877 Stay safe Flatten the curve We all here at Pamaya Red miss you and hope to see you soon See more

To our friends and clients of Pamaya Red, For the health and welfare of all our friends, clients and families, Pamaya Red Salon will remain closed until this virus starts to slow down. Not sure how long that will be but will be tracking it along with everyone else and keep you updated. Hopefully, not too long. Until then, try practicing safe bang trimming by combing down your bangs and sectioning from center of the eyebrow to center of the eyebrow and cut less than you think.... You can always cut more. Do not cut past center eyebrow otherwise you may end up with smiley face bangs. If concerned about dead ends part hair down the middle, comb everything forward so you can see in the mirror and again cut the bottom a little at a time. For our color clients, we have root concealing sprays you can purchase and pick up at salon (in the driveway) or we can package your formula in applicator bottles with gloves and instructions to do at home ( hopefully with the help of friends or family members). This is a very stressful time for all of us and if we work together (6 feet apart, wearing hazmat suits) and continue to take care of ourselves, I’m sure we will all be fine. A little shaggier, a little greyer, but more importantly, healthy and alive. I will be making myself available for advice (only hair advice) and purchases at the salon Monday-Friday from 12-4 beginning next week. Call 845-398-7100 or text 845-664-4877. As soon as we are able to reopen, all appointments that were already booked and now cancelled will be booked first. As a thank you for being our friends and clients, we will be selling gift certificates at 20% off until we reopen. They can be used for services or products. Again, I want to thank you for your friendship and continuing support in these unusual times. See you on the other side Robert, Iala, Hannah, Aleida, Peggy, Janet and Caroline See more

The safety of our clients and our staff is our top priority. That is why we want to make you aware of the steps we are taking to protect everyone’s health and safety. We will continue to follow a stringent infection prevention protocol. Some of the extra safety steps we are undertaking include: Due to CDC suggestion of no more than 10 people in one place We will be staggering appointments throughout the day so the amount of staff and clientele are kept to a minimum giving us ...more time between clients to clean and sanitize the salon. Wiping the stations and chairs with anti-bacterial cleansing solution after each client. Wiping down frequently used surfaces, such as countertops, door handles, tabletops, etc. throughout the day. Continuing to sanitize combs, brushes and other tools after each use. Whenever possible, seating clients at every other station to create more distance. Reminding our staff not to come in if they feel any indication of sickness. We are also encouraging clients to reschedule appointments if they feel ill. We will also be removing all newspapers and magazines from the salon, so feel free to BYO reading material We will continue to update you on any additional guidelines from the CDC and other government agencies, as they relate to our business. In the meantime, please stay safe and thank you, for your patronage. Stay safe and be well, All of us at Pamaya Red
