Thank you to everyone who joined us on Thursday for our 2021 Spring Art Show’s Meet the Artists Opening Reception! We had a wonderful stream of artists and art-lovers visiting the show all evening, giving us our biggest turnout since before the pandemic! If you couldn’t make it, the show will still be open for viewing weekdays 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. until March 25. Our 2021 Spring Art Show is now up and ready for viewing! This beautiful and colorful exhibition is the perfect distraction from the frigid winter temperatures and the perfect reminder of the spring soon to come! The show includes a diverse assortment of paintings, drawings, photography, textile art, 3-D art and more by artists from New York, Rhode Island and Florida. Come see the artwork weekdays 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. or Saturdays 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. until March 25. All are also welcome to attend the free Meet the Artists Opening Reception this Thursday, February 18, 3-7 p.m. We hope to see you soon!

We are so excited to invite kids back to the Nigra Arts Center for some creative fun this President’s Day! Kids ages 5-12 are welcome to attend our President’s Day Palooza on Monday, February 15, for a variety of in-person art classes and activities offered by instructor Cheryl Bielli. We are offering one morning session, 10 a.m. to noon, and an afternoon session, 1:30-3:30 p.m. All of our COVID-19 policies, including mandatory masks, stringent cleaning procedures before and after events, and more, will be in place to ensure a safe experience for participants. As this very strange year comes to a close, we know many of you are planning your end-of-the-year giving to charities and organizations. If you do, please keep the Nigra Arts Center in mind! As with most businesses, COVID-19 took a toll on us in 2020, forcing us to cancel many classes and events and nearly all of the fundraising opportunities we depend on to support our operations. The virtual tour for our 2020 Fall/Winter Art Show is here! Please enjoy this exhibition of more than 100 pieces of artwork from 32 New York artists, including a special body of work from featured Northville artist Linda Finch! Finch’s series of 14 folk art paintings depict the Sacandaga Valley through history, including the creation of the Great Sacandaga Lake. Her collection was made possible by a grant from Saratoga Arts and the New York State Council on the Arts. Quality ...giclee prints of her paintings are available!
