Windows 7 end of life is scheduled for January of 2020. What this means is that Windows 7 will no longer receive security updates from Microsoft and they become vulnerable to software exploits. In order to stay compliant after that point all PC's will have to be replaced with Windows 10 PC's or updated to Windows 10.
