Newsweek Magazine has recognized Valley Health Services as one of the Best Nursing Homes 2021! Newsweek collaborated with Statista, a global data research firm, to analyze and rank over 15,000 nursing homes in the United States, which accept Medicare and Medicaid, as well as offer continuing care. Out of the 15,000 nursing homes, only 400 made the list. There are over 600 nursing homes in New York State and only 70 made this list.

Two area men who survived a lengthy battle against COVID-19 returned to Bassett’s intensive care unit recently to thank the care team that saved their lives. Don't forget to get your flu shot this year! Flu shots are especially important this year for essential workers, people at increased risk for severe illness, members of minority groups that have been disproportionately affected by COVID-19, and people at increased risk for flu complications including infants and young children, pregnant women, people 65 and older, and people with chronic conditions.
