Oh this stack!! I can write a novel just talking about each of these. Instead, I will highlight a few. My favorite book of ALL time is All Quiet on the Western Front. It is such a beautifully written story about young boys going to war and their detachment to civilian life. Every word is like poetry as the author tells the story of such tragic events. Anna Quindlen’s Living Out Loud I bought on the street for $1.00 and its has given me so much pleasure. Anna was #carriebr...adshaw before #satc writing a weekly column in the #nyt called #lifeinthe30s About 20 years ago I had the great honor to attend an intimate gathering to break-fast for Yom Kippur with Eli Wiesel. (Thank you NB!) At the time, I had not read Night. The very next day I read it cover to cover in awe that I had just met a man who had survived the atrocities of the Holocaust. The Turning Point is a must read for anyone who loves #abstractimpressionism. It details the personal and professional lives of the most famous American Abstract Expressionists.
