The Ebony Frame Written by Edith Nesbit Read by Ron Dufort Phtographs by Eliza Lamb Stage Managed by Kate Duprey... Along with many in a collection of short stories entitled "Grim Tales," Edith Nesbit's gothic story of The Ebony Frame became popular in the year 1893. Other stories in that collection include "The Mystery of the Semi-Detached" and "The Mass for the Dead." Ron Dufort’s first performance with WallByrd Theatre was earlier this year in the live-online Call Time Production of ‘Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland’. This summer, he also acted live-online in Geneva Theatre Guild’s Almost Maine. Ron has performed on stage (live-offline?) for several area theater groups in a variety of shows, such as ‘The Royal Family’, ‘Rope’, and ‘the Woolgatherer’. He has also appeared on screen in several shorts and a few feature films, and while he’s gravitated toward emotional dramas (‘Remorse’, An Ambulance Made of Whiskey’) he’s also enjoyed helping bring many comedic, action, and cross-genre films to life, including ‘The Essentials’, ‘Aliens on Acid’, and ‘Bank Heist: the Musical’. Fireside Gothic is a welcome return to the WallByrd family and a delightful dip into a classic dark tale of old. Join us again on Monday, October 19, for another harrowing haunt...
