COVID vaccine for age 12 and up? Yes, we do recommend this! Please know that we are working to make this vaccine available in our practice just as soon as it is approved, and available to us. We will update this page the very second we have more specific information. We are working closely with the agencies who oversee this process and we have no reason to expect delays. We just do not have exact dates to share as yet. We will also continue to share information about availability at state and county sites as soon as we learn it. Please feel free to make use of these sites if this works for you. We are recommending whatever location works best for you. See comments for links to these sites.

Dr. Abell and Elvirus want YOU to understand herd immunity! The purple stellate figures on Dr. Abell’s dress represent virus; the light gray dots represent immunized people, and the red dots are at-risk peopleimmunocompromised, elderly, etc. Note how the gray dots surround and protect the red dots! On this first day of the COVID vaccine rollout, we wanted to make sure you herd about how vaccines protect entire populations! Here at Penfield Pediatrics, we are taking all of the necessary steps to make sure we have the new vaccine just as soon as it becomes available to private practices. Nothing to report yet, but stay tuned!
