We’re starting #FeatureFridays, where we feature awe-inspiring people who made waves in tech . Up first is #LynnConway, pioneer in computer chip design, Professor, and transgender activist. In 1968, IBM fired her when they learned about her transition. We highly recommend checking out her personal website (link at the end), where she shares honestly about her struggles, resiliency, and achievements. She’s such an inspiration

Did you know woman are 47% more likely to be seriously injured in a car accident? In her award winning book Invisible Women, Caroline Criado Perez reveals the biased data that excludes women. Give this book a read and let us know your thoughts! Invisible Women shows us how, in a world largely built for and by men, we are systematically ignoring half the population. It exposes the gender data gap - a gap in our knowledge that is at the root of perpetual, systemic discrimination against women, and that has created a pervasive but invisible bias with a profound effect on women’s lives.
