We’re not sure who needs to hear it, but here’s a great movement tip. Many people can’t body weight squat even if their squat looks good when loaded. The inability to bodyweight squat in our eyes is a dysfunctional movement pattern that needs to be addressed.... One fix is to squat daily. We are currently having a sale on our in person and virtual running gait analysis for the month of Nov. (Price:99, Originally $200) Running is something that many people simply pick up. But have you ever asked yourself, how much force is being placed on my body?... When we start to look at how stressful running can be, the real question becomes; are you prepared for the workload you impart on your body? If you’re unsure make sure you: 1) Focus on your run technique. 2) Have the baseline mobility necessary for runners. 3) Are strong. We can help you with all 3. Shoot us a DM to find out how! . . #perfectstridept #running #marathon

For this month’s book club we read the book Breath. Breathing is something we take for granted each and everyday as it’s something instinctual that we do to survive. But respiration is so much more than that. It’s actually the only way we can directly influence our central nervous system.... Larger, slower breaths stimulate the parasympathetic system and promote relaxation while faster, shorter breaths increase sympathetic drive (fight or flight). Have you read this book? Agree with our take on breathing? Let me know! .Want to work with Perfect Stride?Click the link in the bio or go to perfectstridept.com for more information about our:* One on One Physical Therapy* Virtual Consultations* Workplace Ergonomics* Run Coaching* And Much More _____________________________________________This content is solely for informational purposes and is not intended to be a substitute for professional medical advice......#perfectstridept #physicaltherapy #breathing #breathingexercises
