Orlando's Villas of Grand Cypress resort, which ceased operations last fall, is currently undergoing a billion-dollar-plus redevelopment and will be reborn as the Evermore Orlando Resort by summer 2023. The first phase of the 1,100-acre project, which borders Walt Disney World, will comprise a 433-room hotel branded under Hilton's luxury Conrad Hotels & Resorts flag and a variety of vacation rental accommodations, including 69 homes ranging in size from five to 11 bedrooms, 76 four-bedroom apartments and 41 two- and four-bedroom villas.

Delta's three-week pilot testing program allows U.S. travelers flying for essential reasons -- such as work, health or education -- to fly from Atlanta to Amsterdam and Rome without having to quarantine when they arrive. New credential authentication devices are being installed at various airport checkpoints, enabling passengers to insert their ID directly into a card reader, eliminating the need for a screening officer to touch the ID. Many checkpoints now also feature computed tomography (CT) scanners, allowing TSA officers to manipulate an image on screen to get a better view of a bag’s contents. This technology often enables officers to clear items without having to open a carry-on bag. The new CT scanner further reduces the need for a passenger to remove contents of their bag during the screening process.
