The staff at Pet Degree Hospital would like to express our sincerest gratitude to all of our clients during this time. With rapidly increasing cases of COVID-19 in Erie County and for the safety of our clients and staff, we will be returning to full curbside service effective immediately. Curbside Service allows us to give your pet the best care possible while keeping safety a top priority. Our Curbside Service goes like this:... When you arrive for your scheduled appointment please STAY IN YOUR CAR and call 716-508-7387 to notify us of your arrival. A veterinary assistant or technician will then take your pets history over the phone. Once directed by the staff, please escort your pet to the front vestibule. Please be sure to WEAR A MASK. A veterinary assistant or technician will then bring your pet into the building. We ask that you please then return to your car. Once the doctor has completed the exam, they will call you to review the appointment and discuss a care plan, any treatments, blood draws or vaccinations. Please answer your phone in a timely manner. After this, our receptionist will call you and payment will be obtained. Once your pet’s appointment is complete, we ask that you meet us, as directed, in the front vestibule, MASKED, and ready to escort your pet back to your car. It's a beautiful day and WNY is starting to re-open! Local news agencies reported that all things are back to normal as far as veterinary services go. However, Pet Degree is still taking precautions! We don't want a second wind of this thing! We are still proceeding with curbside care. Please CONTINUE to call the clinic when you arrive and follow the same protocol you have been.... And while we are able to see more wellness type appointments, there may still not be an appointment available right away. Also, we are not able to reopen the pool or daycare as of yet. This picture shows the inportance of regular nail maintenance not only to prevent injury but it can also be uncomfortable for dogs to stand when their nails get overgrown. The photos on the left are before, this dog was leaning on the back of his foot to compensate for the extra nail length.
