Important Patient Safety Information regarding Cononavirus (COVID-19) In light of the recent outbreak of COVID-19 in Westchester County, our team here at Petrucco Dentistry would like to review what we have always done, and what we will continue to do, to prevent the spread of any contagious disease. Our entire team, from the front desk to clinical staff, is trained and continuously practices a strict infection control protocol. As well as adhering to the highest levels of st...erilization and disinfection, we will continue to screen patients before, as well as upon arrival, for their scheduled dental appointments for any recent illnesses. Please be patient with us as we review the COVID-19 health questionnaire and your medical update upon check in. When being contacted to confirm your scheduled appointment, please let us know if you have experienced any recent illness, including cold or flu symptoms. This can include fevers (100.4F / 38C or above), cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, vomiting, diarrhea, or rash. If so, we can assist you in rescheduling your appointment to a later date. To help protect yourself, your family, and our community, we strongly encourage you to follow the below New York State Department of Health recommendations: Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially before eating Avoid close contact with people who are sick Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth Stay home when you are sick Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces Together, we can help our families and community stay healthy.
