Hello to all our families and schools and businesses and everyone! It’s been a long time. Like the rest of you all, Photography By Felicia has certainly been affected by the pandemic. Sadly we watched as so many children were unable to celebrate their communions, graduations, proms and all the other photo moments that we look forward to capturing every spring. It was also heartbreaking to see so many bar and bat mitzvahs rescheduled as well as weddings. Some of them were... moved to the fall and have now been rescheduled again. Our hearts go out to all of our families who have been affected by the pandemic in any way. It was just devastating to watch as so many of our clients lost family members to Covid. This has certainly been a challenging time for all of us. We hope as school begins that all the safety precautions that have been put in are successful and that all of our families remain healthy. Over here, my family has remained healthy, thank God. There has not been too much work, basically there has been no work at all. Add that to the fact that I have no childcare for my 2 1/2-year-old twins and I keep a close watch on my 11-year-old who is an asthmatic. These are most definitely strange new times. That being said, we do have many schools scheduled for the fall as well as some select days put aside for family portraits. We have no choice but to take it day by day and I hope that our numbers in New York state low so that we return to capturing memories for all of you this coming fall. We are accepting appointments, but of course there will be flexibility based on what is going on during this time. Many of you have gotten wind of the fact that I am selling my house and relocating my family. And yes, it is true! However, we are not going far! We will still be close enough so that I can work on Long Island for my schools, events (when the industry comes back to life) and of course for family portraits. After 30 years of capturing memories for so many of you, I would never go so far away as to not be able to continue my work. So do not fret! I may not live on Long Island in a few months but I will still be a Long Island photographer. I hope that you all stay safe and well and I pray that we get a chance to see each other this fall and capture some beautiful images. Hello to all of my families! I cannot tell you how much I miss your smiling faces. My camera is sitting, unused, missing you as much as I am. This is such a strange time, I have almost (almost) run out of words to explain the gamut of emotions that run through my mind daily. I hope that you are all staying safe and that you are all well. ...
