Pinegrove Event Center

Hey there everyone. We just wanted to let you know what is going on here at Pinegrove regarding the event and our wedding. Though the news may seem sad, there is a brighter note to it all, so hang in there. Our Party in the Pines event has been cancelled at this point due to many different variables working against us, and our wedding is being postponed till next summer. The dates and all will be announced after we get together with the wedding party over the weekend of Ma...y 16th and we work out some details. While we LOVE Pinegrove, the truth of the matter is we cannot afford the repairs and excavating it would take to truly do these events justice. And our health is a concern too. Also, being so rustic and without certain amenities, our families would be inconvenienced and would probably not be able to attend. We really want our families to share our special day with us and we will be looking at another, more appropriate venue to hold it at (main reason for postponement!) That being said, it’s going to take us more time to raise the resources to pull that off, as it will add a bigger dollar amount to acquire and set up, which we will need time for. Plus the resources we have would barely be able to come close to our needs for this coming event so I cannot HOPE for it to just work out. As for the future of Pinegrove (the dream if not the location) it is still there and burning hardcore in the background of us both. Who knows, maybe we are meant for this and then again Maybe us starting our lives together anew is meant for a new goal in life!?! We are thankful for your support over the last few years and we are proud to know each and every one of you. Thank you for all that has happened and may our futures bring favorable outcomes to bring us together for the events in the future! Iona is excited about her weekend event! She is the one who we are doing the fundraising part of the Party in the Pines and from what I hear - something about carnival games? I'm kind of excited to see what "Iona's Army" comes up with! Iona was diagnosed with Acute Lymphatic Leukemia during that real bad storm last winter. While she is on the mend her treatments for recovery are at least a 3 - 4 year fight. A portion of the Chinese Auction, any of the games, and a few of the ...50/50's during the weekend will be directly for Iona! As for now - the bands are all coming together and soon I will have a few to list ... but Jim Donavan from Rusted Root I hear is on that list! LOL, I'll be on that soon enough! Plus Saturday is going to be one big ol' bash! Community Meal is in the works and I should have a menu of what the meats are but know we plan a corn roast for our vegan friends! Obviously we do hope everyone will remember this is a POTLUCK which means bring something to share! I'm sure we can get a tentative list started so we can have an idea of what folks might be willing to bring! I cannot wait to get back first thaw and start to get the place ready! But bring on the event so we can all play together again out in the woods - 138 days - <3 Pinegrove Love! <3

It's Official! Put it on your calendars now! PARTY IN THE PINES Is ON! June 12 - 14th, 2015 ... Here at Pinegrove (I'll be back there soon!)! My computer is down but will be back up Monday some time so by mid-week I'll have a ton of details here for you all! And one hella surprise happening Saturday, June 13th you just won't want to miss if you've known me for real! But the plans are now full on and will slowly be confirmed ... Just Wow! Not the turn out we were hoping for but the event itself was a total success - and one hella new family! So many bonded in ways they never would have been able to and no problems to report! A few major tweaks of course but it is our first year and we have learned a few things doing these two! First off I'd like to thank the core Pinegrove Crew who made this happen! We had a few people step up to help last minute who I can not thank enough - Annie, Louie, Jerry ... T...hanks and beyond grateful to have you on board. My Day Boss's and Night Boss's, Kitchen, Stage / Merch, Woodbuster's, even roving First Aid, Chinese Auction and Drink Stand, Shuttle - ALL of you made this event what it was. And Alan, Paul and the Godly Griffin made the stage beyond incredible! I cannot even begin to express my gratitude to the bands who were here! I am beyond grateful to have had you here and am so lucky to have met most all of you, lol. There were many surprises in my yard for sure! And we must be doing something right as we had our first gate crashers too!
