Update: I have had a huge response to this post!! I have tried to get back with everyone but I'm afraid I have missed some. Please PM me personally-Kathy Osborn- or on the farm messenger. I cannot answer all of the requests left in the comments!! We have a big and remarkably diverse selection of horses for sale currently at PPEC! PM me for more details on any of these fantastic horses. - Willow- 5yo Paint Friesian cross mare, about 15.3hh, She is schooling basic dressage and ...is ready for a novice rider in a program - Samba- 15yo bay warmblood mare, about 16.1hh, She is an imported, now retired jumper ready to start her new career. She is schooling 2’6-3’ hunter courses with perfect LC and a lovely way of going. She is ready for an intermediate rider in a program - Vegas- 13yo chestnut warmblood gelding, about 17hh. He is a GREAT first horse. He is kind, patient, and sound. He has been teaching many first canters in my program. Perfect LC, a bit girthy but manageable - Em- a coming 6yo bay Hanoverian mare, about 15.3 by Escudo II training in dressage now but has also jumped. She jumps great, moves great, and is beautiful. Her temperament seems to be better suited to dressage than hunters but could go either way at this point-its all good education - Thor- coming 6yo bay Hanoverian gelding, about 17hh by Lankoenig. He is bred to be a jumper but his temperament is better suited to the hunters- he has a wonder hunter canter rhythm and is easy to find the jumps on. He is very big bodied, schooling 3’ courses with LC, brave and honest. Ready for a rider in a program - Badger- 8yo grey warmblood gelding, about 16.2 He is an imported event horse with a promising future. He has experience both in the US and Europe -Maisey- coming 7yo Hanoverian chestnut mare, 16.3hh by Rio Ricardo. She is the most amazing sweet, kind, gentle mare I've ever known. She is also beautiful, talented and easy to train. She has had 2 foals so is getting a late start training herself. Currently schooling 2'3" See more

Hello All! We were able to secure someone to host a "CowTrac" clinic, some western trained cow horses will be available at an additional cost or bring your own horse in an english or western saddle. Come to learn the way a horse follows a cow and how in tune you must be with your horse. This is an interest post, so if you're interested please send us an email at [email protected]. We need at least 10 people to be interested to set a date.

**Immediate Job Opening for an Groom/Rider/Instructor** Pine Plains Equestrian is currently looking for another member to join our team! We are an Eventing based facility in Pine Plains, NY that offers boarding, lessons, and training. The ideal candidate for the position needs to be a positive self starter capable to helping in the daily care of 30+ horses to a high standard. The position includes a fair bit of riding on horses ranging from recently broken 3/4 year olds to se...asoned competition horses with all levels between, so versatility and competence is a must(Ideally riding at a minimum of Novice Eventing and First level dressage)! We would love someone experience in teaching classical basics to riders of all levels (but ability to teach is not a deal breaker). Our lesson program is full, and riders look for engaging fun lessons that help them to become solid riders, not just passengers. Since this is a barn job, employees must be quick, efficient, and understand grooming to a high standard as we are a full service facility. Barn chores are included in the position, but there is minimal mucking out required. Please forward resumes to [email protected] to be considered. See more

It’s rare to have a November day this beautiful when you live in upstate NY. 70 degrees, clear skies, cross country, and amazing horses; what could be better? Pam and Julia took advantage of this late season opportunity and rode Jersey, Rio, Badger, Domino, Mars, and McFly around the course at home. The horses were brilliant and bold, and so excited to have the chance to get out!
